D2 – Describe the Problem
ระบุปัญหาให้ชัดเจนโดยใช้เทคนิคการตั้งคำถาม 5W2H ว่า ใคร (who) ทำอะไร (what) ที่ไหน (where) เมื่อไหร่ (when) ทำไม (why) อย่างไร (how) และ มากน้อยเพียงใด (how many)
D3 – Contain the Problem
การกำหนด และดำเนินการแก้ไขปัญหาเฉพาะหน้า
D4 – Identify, Define, Describe and Verify the Root Cause of the Problem
ค้นหาสาเหตุรากเหง้าของปัญหาโดยใช้เทคนิคผังก้างปลา หรือ Why-Why Analysis
D5 – Choose Corrective Actions
เลือกแผนการแก้ไขปัญหา
D6 – Implement/Validate the Permanent Corrective Actions
ดำเนินการแก้ไขปัญหา
D7 – Prevent Recurrence
กำหนดมาตรการป้องกันปัญหาไม่ให้เกิดซ้ำ
D8 – Reward the Team
ให้รางวัล และคำชื่นชมกับทีม
